For almost all of my adult life, I have had the ability to dowse. For those of you that are unfamiliar with term dowsing, this is the ability to locate things {water, minerals, cats, dogs, horses, people} by using a dowsing rod or pendulum. The dowsing rod {the old boys used to use a willow stick in the shape of a fork or the letter Y} is held so as to allow it to lead the holder to whatever it is he is looking for. Modern day dowsers use a pair of rods which will cross when the location or object has been found, or as in my case, I use a pendulum. I can use a rod, but for what I do with spirits and angels, I use a pendulum. Some four or five years ago, I became aware that the force or power that moved the pendulum was in actuality my angel. Through a trial and error program, we established a means of communication by his moving the pendulum in a particular manner so as to indicate particular words. Those being "yes, no, search, maybe, I don't know and I'm waiting". The communication of words and entire sentences is accomplished by my going through the alphabet to determine the spelling of words in the message. Usually after finding the first letter in a word, the word pops into my head and in many cases a whole string of words, so I ask for a verification if that is in fact the word or message he is sending me. This simplifies the process immensely not having to go through each and every letter in a word. A major problem does occur, when the angel of someone trying to get a message through, cannot speak or understand English!! At this point I have  to request an interpreter to help out. An angel fluent in whatever language is required will come over from the other side to assist in the translation. I thought this information would be important so you fully understand this next part.

My primary function is to assist those spirits that are still on this side in crossing over. The actual act of crossing over is, in itself, not that complicated. I simply have to determine if the soul requesting passage to the other side is aware that it is now a spirit, and if its angel is present. If these criteria are present, then it's just a matter of instructing them to go with their angel and when they may leave.

It is at this point that problems start to arise. One of the most common is that the spirit in question has no knowledge of the fact that it is now a spirit, or that its physical body is dead. The first item on the agenda, is to get the spirit to understand that it is now a spirit. In some cases, my simply telling them that they are now a spirit is enough. At other times, it is necessary to go into how they became a spirit. Generally this is accomplished by taking a step-by-step walk through as to how their physical body came to die. In some instances, even this is not enough, and another tact must be taken. One of the scenarios I have found to work quite well is as follows. I ask the spirit if when he came into the room he came through the wall. If he replies yes, I then ask him if he could walk through walls before he came to be here with me! Of course the answer is always no. It now becomes obvious to him that some major change must have occurred  to be able to walk through walls, and it's at this point that they generally accept the fact that they are now a spirit. There can be a number of reasons as to why the body is dead, and until I can make the spirit understand that his or her body is, in fact, dead, no progress can be made. This is accomplished by asking these questions. Were you in any natural disaster?; in an accident?; were you killed or murdered?; were you executed by some legal authority?; did you commit suicide? A yes response to one of these questions is always forthcoming, so now it's just a question of getting him to understand that his physical body is now dead. Once this is accomplished the process of  crossing over can  be restarted.

After establishing  the presence of an angel, I tell the soul whats going to happen next in the procedure and send him on his way. If the soul knows that he is a spirit, this whole process takes less than a minute. If, however, its one of those cases where he has no idea as to his being a spirit, it can take two or three minutes to convince him, and that he needs to be crossed over. I have found that ghosts are more than willing to be crossed over by the time they come to me, {or I go to them} for they have come to realize that the decision to stay on this side was a bad one, and for the most part, are quite willing to go, especially if they are just caught in limbo due to a sudden death and have no idea as to how to get over to the other side.  Many refuse to accept the fact that they are dead, and stay on as hauntings until persuaded to cross over. Poltergeists, on the other hand, are another story. As I said, they are mentally disturbed and in some cases just plain nuts. In the most severe cases, it is necessary to have one or more Cherubs come over and literally drag them back across to the other side.
